Privacy Policy
PlayOrchard (playorchard.com) is a free games website. This policy explains what data we handle, why, and the choices you have. You can play every game without an account.
Game progress stored in your browser
Your game progress, statistics, settings and recently played games are saved in your browser's local storage on your device. They stay there until you clear your browser data. We cannot see this data unless you sign in (see below).
Optional sign-in with Google
If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. We use them only to identify your account and show who is signed in. We do not receive your Google password, and we ask Google for nothing beyond this basic profile.
While you are signed in, we store a copy of your game progress and statistics on our servers (hosted by Cloudflare) so you can continue on another device. We also keep a session record (including your IP address and browser type) to keep you signed in and secure your account. You can sign out at any time from the account menu.
To delete your account and all of its saved progress, email [email protected] from the address you signed in with. We will delete it within 30 days.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages and games are visited, how long games are played, and whether visitors return. Google Analytics uses cookies and a random identifier; it does not tell us who you are. We also use Cloudflare's cookieless web analytics to count visits and measure page speed.
Cookies and advertising
We use cookies and local storage to remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and measure usage. When ads are shown, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info. See also how Google uses data from partner sites.
Your choices
- Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked before any analytics or advertising cookies are used. Other visitors can decline in the same banner. To change your choice later, clear this site's data in your browser and choose again.
- You can use the site without signing in. Signing out stops cloud saving on that device.
- You can ask us for a copy of the data linked to your account, or for its deletion, at [email protected].
Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare: hosting, our database (accounts and cloud saves) and cookieless analytics.
- Google: sign-in (if you use it), Google Analytics and, when enabled, advertising.
We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
Account data and cloud saves are kept until you ask us to delete them. Sign-in sessions expire after 60 days of inactivity. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Sign-in is intended for users 13 and older.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above.
